Adding A Brightcove Video To A Post

1. Open the post in the editor
2. Click at the end of a paragraph where you want the video, press Enter to create a new line, then type / and start typing Brightcove. Select the Brightcove block from the dropdown.
3. The Brightcove media picker will open. If you don’t see your video in the first 8 results, use the search bar to find it.
4. Click on the video you need. On the right side panel, you’ll see player options. Make sure you select the correct player — for now, choose Ads_Master Tag for a player with ads or Article Page Player for a player with no ads.
5. Click the blue Insert Into Post button at the bottom of the popup.
6. Preview the post to confirm the video loads correctly.

Reorder the Brightcove Block (One-Time Setup)

7. At the top of the editor, click the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines). Drag the Brightcove block to the top of the inserter list so it’s easy to find next time.

Remove the Default Player

8. If the article already has a default video player, you need to remove it or you’ll end up with two players. In the right sidebar (above the Categories panel), find the default player toggle and switch it off. Wait a second, then click Save or Publish.
